Good news! If you are running out of space on your Android, you can change the location of your downloaded Audible audiobooks to a removable SD card.
Heads Up: SD cards with Audible audiobooks cannot be played on other devices that have SD card slots such as cars, televisions, and portable media players. Our audiobooks are formatted using a special file type that can be used only on Audible compatible devices.
Here are the steps to move your Audible content to an SD card:
- Open the Audible app
- Tap the hamburger menu at the top corner of the screen, followed by Settings.
- Tap Download Settings.
- From the Download Settings page, tap Download Location.
- Choose the SD card from the list of download locations. It will be the second item listed on the page.

There you go! Now all your audiobooks will be automatically downloaded to your SD card.
If you want to add all your previously-downloaded content to your SD card, you will need to delete them first and then re-download them. Tap or click here for instructions on deleting content off of your Android device.
